Youth Mentorship

Our Youth Mentorship program uses the Credible Messenger model — pairing young people with mentors who have walked similar paths and emerged stronger. These aren't just role models; they are living proof that transformation is possible. Through consistent one-on-one relationships, group sessions, and structured accountability, we build trust, reinforce positive decision-making, and create pathways to a better future.

Family Restoration & Mediation
Healing relationships. Rebuilding homes.
Incarceration, trauma, and systemic barriers fracture families. Our Family Restoration & Mediation program works with families to rebuild communication, resolve deep-seated conflict, and restore the bonds that hold communities together. Through facilitated mediation sessions, family counseling referrals, and wraparound support, we help families find their footing — together.
Why it matters: Families who engage in structured mediation and support services report stronger communication, reduced conflict, and improved stability for children.
Reentry & Post-Release Success
From release to restoration.
The moment someone walks out of a facility is one of the most critical — and most vulnerable — of their life. Our Reentry & Post-Release Success program provides immediate, practical support: housing navigation, ID and benefits assistance, employment connections, and ongoing mentorship. We don't just open the door — we walk through it with them.
Why it matters: Participants in structured reentry programs are far less likely to return to incarceration and more likely to secure stable housing and employment within 90 days.
Violence Prevention & Community Intervention
Interrupting cycles. Building peace.
Violence is a symptom of deeper wounds — poverty, trauma, hopelessness, and disconnection. Our Violence Prevention & Community Intervention program deploys credible messengers and trained community responders to interrupt conflicts before they escalate, provide crisis response, and build long-term alternatives to violence. We go where the need is greatest.
Why it matters: Community-based violence intervention programs have been shown to reduce gun violence by up to 60% in targeted neighborhoods.
Leadership & Life Skills Development
Equipping the next generation to lead.
Leadership isn't just for boardrooms — it starts in the neighborhood. Our Leadership & Life Skills Development program equips youth and young adults with the practical tools they need to navigate school, work, and life: financial literacy, conflict resolution, communication, goal-setting, and civic engagement. We believe every young person has the capacity to lead.
Why it matters: Youth who complete structured life skills programming show measurable gains in self-efficacy, academic engagement, and employment readiness.
Community Partnerships & Systems Support

No single organization can do this work alone. Our Community Partnerships & Systems Support program builds bridges between FTGF and the courts, schools, juvenile justice agencies, faith communities, and nonprofits that serve the same people we do. By coordinating services, sharing resources, and advocating for systemic change, we multiply our impact and reduce the gaps that people fall through.
